What's counted

Going over an allowance
Going over the automation allowance never stops your automations, and nothing is charged for it. For other allowances, what happens differs by feature; if you're close to one, contact support or move to a bigger plan.
No data loss
Reaching a limit never deletes or changes your existing data.
