Pre-Chat Forms

Engage visitors in real-time with an embeddable chat widget.

Pre-chat forms collect information from visitors before they start chatting. This helps you qualify leads and personalize the conversation.

Default Fields

By default, the pre-chat form collects:

  • Name — The visitor's name (required)
  • Email — The visitor's email address (required)

Enabling/Disabling

Toggle the pre-chat form on or off in the Live Chat settings. When disabled, visitors can start chatting immediately without providing any information upfront.

Custom Fields

Add custom fields to collect additional information such as:

  • Phone number
  • Company name
  • Product interest
  • Support category

Each field can be configured as required or optional.

Keep It Simple

The fewer fields you require, the more likely visitors are to complete the form. Only ask for information you truly need.
